Missing Peconic
Sorry guys but Bartell (Peconic) wont be able to make it to Marathon to take pics and post them like we all have enjoyed over the last few events. I do have a replacement photogropher for this event and will try to post pics as soon as possable with Peconics help. Maybe Steve will allow him on the start boat to snap off some pics of the race.Wish you were here Bartell you will be missed.

Peconic (a.k.a "BS") will be in Athen, Greece with a huge crowd of hard drinking car dealers when you guys make the water boil in Maraton. Wish I'd be there. If you need any long distance assistance, let me know.

By the way, winning the OPA races will be easier than ever. There will be a virtual guarantee that none of you will finish last. That is because Jim Capie and this reporter will enter the circuit in Jim's 30 ft Superboat. And it will be our mission to bring up the rear.
Team name is t.b.a. , we are thinking of "Nice Guys" as in "Nice guys finish last." It would be the first politically correct, gender sensitive team. As of this writing, that gender sensitive team doesn't even have an engine in the boat. Figures.

Ok, guys. I can report that broadband internet has arrived in Greece. Me too. While everybody is on their ways to Marathon, I'm at the ancient birthplace of the Marathon races - faithfully replicated on the long way from the gate to baggage claim.
