Seaside NJ next

So you want to race offshore race boats. Bring them out ladies and come play in the Atlantic with the big boys. I'm still confused why all those poker run guys with all that power wont man up and really show off what they got. You go out and spend insane amounts of money to have the fastest and nicest boats then spend weekends dialing it in for speed and then doing quarter mile sprints up and down the river saying how fast you are. Why not use the boat for what it was built for? Is it the money or no balls or just a look what I got factor? Try it you might like it.
MD:eek:

We shall call them henceforth "all those poker run ladies" - because they have got no balls. It's all show and no action.

Seaside is a neat race. We start in Point Pleasant and then go 10 miles straight south to Seaside where the course will be set up like a triangle.

In order to get all boats to the course at the same time, we start the slower boats first and then the bigger boats exactly 2 minutes later. Last year Bandit was the first to the course by a few seconds over Typhoon and Firewater.

Last year the course was too small and the wake action caused two accidents (I think Bruce was hot and wanted to go for a swim). This year the triangle will make the course larger and allow you to run into the swells longer. This should allow Bruce to stay in the boat.

Another great pic day in the making. Hope it's just a little calmer and a bit warmer and no rain would be a nice change.

Hey Ron, if you think back......it took Firewater and Bandit 91/2 miles to catch The Delicate Sound Of Thunder in front of the MTV beachouse....YOU wrote the article, not to take ANYTHING away from MadDog and Hollywood!

Scott, know thats the kind of response I'm looking for! I know there are plenty of boats in the NJ area that could kick butt in the new P class groups. I'm hoping some of them try it.

Good Lord, let's get ready to rumble!..................Hey Marty.

AugiePensa 06-05-2003 05:49 PM

WOW, and it goes on!.................... Mike Merola, I understand that you had a conversation with my brother and navigator Kevin today and you don't think we passed WILD CARD all day! Although in my eyes there would be NO SHAME if it were true and they did beat us fair and square as did John Cohen and his son in SuperBoat so I will tell you the deal, lap 3 turn 3, we just PASSED WILD CARD and are along side Superboat with Typhoon ahead of us.....the oceanliner gets launched and one of the kill switches comes off, everyone passes us...........we get the engines started and catch up to EVERYONE at the start/finish line of the last lap.....we PASS WILD CARD before turn 2.....typhoon already had electrical problems and was out and we passed SuperBoat on turn 3, we went for about 5-6 hundred feet went flying out of the water came down hard and the damn kill switch came off again.I'm sure if you contact Willie and Larry of Wild Card and John and Jr. Cohen of SuperBoat they will varify for you but it doesn't matter. We ALL had a great HARD day with FRIENDS and my hats off to all the crews that made it to Pt.Pleasant, as I said in other posts............Typhoon,Wild Card and SuperBoat are all nuts, great people and great racers and Sportsman.....Thanks Guy's.................Any Questions MIKE!!!!!!!!

Mike, I'm not all over your a$$, I'm up here in Union City, just stating the facts for your enjoyment! All kidding aside Mike.....you take EVERYTHING TOO SERIOUS, RELAX. All those Crews did a FANTASTIC job Sunday. Everyone came out winners, they were all safe and minor bulls#$t to the boats and thats what's important.

Hauling Trash 06-05-2003 07:29 PM

Augie

I did not go to the dry pits after the race .So I was asking about the race .THAT IT

MIke

AugiePensa 06-05-2003 08:04 PM

AugiePensa 06-05-2003 08:05 PM

Waterboy......lets go.

Wazzup Racing 06-05-2003 08:19 PM

Not for nothing, but do you guys realize how many people read this board! Your are not representing the Jersey Boyz in the form the rest of us appreciate. Clean it up now! Or turn in the colors. Ed

diamonddaveF170 06-05-2003 09:28 PM

Smitty,
Your absolutely right.
Mike either put up or shut up!!!
It's great that you want to rile up everyone but unless you are out there doing it, your just another margarita sipper on the docks with lots of ideas. Use some of them and show your stuff.
If not Let the Jersey bhe winners they are. All of them win, lose, breakdown. Just shut your trap!!

WATERBOY2 06-05-2003 10:06 PM

Hey Augie.........sorry to hear about your problem with the kill switches last Sunday.....but while they were connected you guys looked good, as did the entire P4 Class.....best race of the day!

AugiePensa 06-06-2003 06:11 AM

Thanks Mark.

TomR 06-06-2003 11:10 AM

Hey Guy's, I'll add to this:
Unless you had the balls to be out there running last Sunday, I'm not interested in your take on anything to do with that race!!!
I'm a new guy on the course, but what I know is that with those conditions last Sunday, if you finished you won!!
Hey Smitty, you find a drive for my buddy Bobby G. yet? If you don't have his # e-mail me: [email protected]
Looking forward to running with you guy's in a couple of weeks.
