I heard once you get to Seaside the total lap distance once around is 2 miles and total race distance is 27 miles.
That doesn't sound right. Is it because of the weather?

Yup, the laps are only two miles long, plus the 10 mile run straight down the beach. I think P5 is running 8 laps. P1 is running 18 laps.

Why so short in terms of course size and total distance?
Thats a total of 26 miles for P5

Question Where is everyone???

So who's coming?

My daughter was begging to go see the boats last night. So we took a drive to Seaside. Thank God for TYPHOON Racing! They were displayed right on the Boulevard. Other than that, none. I stopped and asked a cop if there was another location but he said they all pulled out at 5pm and maybe they would be back tomorrow. I don't think he was aware there was a race in his town on Sunday. So we went on a search but found no more in Seaside. Drove up to Point Pleasant and found none there. Went to the wet pits and found 4 boats. Lightning Jacks and 3 other local boats. I then drove to Windward Beach. Nothing there either? I am sure there may have been a few at Smitty's maybe making some last minute preparations, but where was everyone from out of town?
April (my daughter) can't wait to go to the races today.

I am hoping for a good turnout. I would think by now most boats will be ready...
Any suggestions on where to watch?
I heard that it will be a triangle course and one leg only running pier to pier? What would be the best bar to watch from?

Good luck to everyone! Have a SAFE race.
Marty, christen that baby with a checkered flag 1st time out!

Actually Firewater won overall and P1. There were no P2 boats.

Hmm:

"Pensa Racing (overslept and was late for race)"

Chorus:

Wake up little Augie, wake up little Augie
Well, what're we gonna tell your mama, what're we gonna tell your papa
What're gonna tell our friends when they say 'ooh la la'
Wake up little Augie, wake up little Augie
