Here we go again!!!!!

Ok Folks....

three days to go

AC was a huge success. We had 29 boats start and with the few that couldn't make it or broke during testing, We would have had close to 40.

A few teams joined the family and it was AWESOME to have them. We hope you had GOOD TIME and come back.

We want to hear from you...Who's coming?
It will be the highlight of the season.

Lets make this event a screamer....the more teams the merrier. If we build it, the sponsors will come. Which means more attractive purses and hopefully lower entry fees.

See you all in Point Pleasant

AugiePensa 07-24-2003 06:18 AM

Tommy, Kurt is fine..........he just has to work from a chair, his legs are worthless now, say hi to everybody.

Peconic 07-24-2003 08:51 AM

Rumor has it, Kurt found the head of a horse in his bed. But that's probably just a stupid rumor. Kurt has all his horses in his engines ...

Hauling Trash 07-24-2003 08:53 AM

Here's a question

With all of the recent talk of how fast Typhoon and White trash are running(86-87mph). Why are these boats running in P-4? Based on the guidelines of the P class rules these two boats should be running in P-3

BRUCE SEROFF 07-24-2003 10:06 AM

Hauling Trash 07-24-2003 10:16 AM

I think its race speed not top speed

BJ: As you know, speed under race conditions and speed under ideal conditions are two totally different animals. Last weekend in AC, neither Randy nor us ever did more than 77.5 MPH. I can run a speed graph on that geeky 10" monitor of mine.

P4-69 (also a Kryptonite) does more than 100 mph with her twin eggbeaters. No tabs, rough water, and no joy during the race.

OTOH, there were some battle cruisers in that bracket, 10 feet more and (at least) twice the engine. Team Larry Flint in their 38 Jockstrap only won because the two leading Kryptonites met the firing squad of the race officials.

At the end of the day, it's the skill of the pilot. If I would have piloted White Trash, I would have finished last. I am lucky to have Kirk on my side. If y'all want to continue winning races, better order your Kryptonites. If only to keep Kirk off the races and at home in his shop, working feverishly to keep up with the demand.

If Kirk continues showing up at the races (and I will work hard on him to do so,) then he will wreak havoc, 525, 500, 496, whatever.

BJM 07-24-2003 10:44 AM

Peconic
So I can show up with my 28 Pantera with 700 hp that does top speed of 87 and run in p-4 in AC? Why not even P-5, where does it stop? Just asking.

Peconic 07-24-2003 11:36 AM

Yes, you can. Rumor has it, it has been tried before. Even the 2nd sentence has been tried before. As long as you don't exceed your bracket speed during the race, you are good.

Bracket racing makes men humble. WQhere else would they claim that their boat never, ever, under no circumstances whatsoever can exceed 80 mph? "Actually, judge, I'm happy when I see 74 .."

Can we enter BJ and his 700 bhp Pantera for Point Pleasant?

Randy, Gino, BJ, Point Pleasant: Where the giants race.

Hauling Trash 07-24-2003 12:24 PM

B.J.

You can race that in P-4 class

Take on CINDY one more time.

I'll run with you BJ

TeamRelentless 07-26-2003 03:34 PM

i talked to the guys from stylin in AC and they said they r comin to race in point so i guess count them in for P1

raynman 07-26-2003 07:52 PM

According to APBA rules boat speed is determined by "ultimate top speed in perfect water conditions". Ultimate top speed to me would seem to mean a reasonable amount of fuel, race prop, and the boat trimmed out. I don't know what "perfect water conditions" means exactly for each boat but I do know that far too many boats are running a class or two lower than they should which makes it tough for the crews who run in the proper class.

Wazzup Racing 07-27-2003 12:57 PM

The problem with the classes are not so much the speed of the boats. A ten mile an hour bracket is hugh. In P5 You can run from 60 70. if you boat only runs 62 or 63, in some water conditions you will never compete. If there is a 1 mph difference after a one hour race, you are 1 mile behind. You have to get your boat to run at the top of your class, and then have the talent to run it there. ED

Are we going to run onboard GPS s' for Point ??

Wazzup Racing 07-28-2003 11:19 AM

Yea Baby

mr_velocity 07-28-2003 12:46 PM

So where will Pantara end up? I'm ready to put a deal together to lease a bat boat for pt, but I don't want to spend the money if I know I'll have to run against an 80+ mph boat.

ScottB 07-28-2003 01:00 PM

Who has an 80mph Pantera?

ScottB 07-28-2003 01:08 PM

Maybe you guys should have a P5 1/2 class:crazy:

mr_velocity 07-28-2003 04:41 PM

Scott,
You coming up for the race?

Peconic 07-28-2003 07:42 PM

What is a GOOD hotel in Point Pleasant? I want to put up my driver/throttleman in style. And after A/C, even the Ritz would be a bargain.
