Thumbs down Tec help please.

Found out why we over heated the SVL Typhoon on Sun. race. My water hose from the drive to the gimbal kinked and cut off the water flow to the motor. This has happened to me in the past and Im sick of it. What have others done to stop this from happening? In spec racing we need to keep the water pickup on the drive. HELP

sounds like when the plastic insert got installed in the hose on the bell housing end that swells the hose to the housing, that the hose did not get held firmly from turning while screwing in the insert.

I believe if the piece of hose is a bit too long, it will also do the same thing.

Use a hose that has the wire reinforcing inside on any hose that sucks water. It will have a rough outside surface. Any boat parts place sells it.

Put the BEER down and use your other hand to make sure the hose doesn't kink while installing.

Also make sure you dont have any debris left in the drive passages, usually that starts them collapsing in the first place. And with all the mulching you were doing yesterday there could be all sorts of stuff in there.
