New Cat in Town
New Cat in Town.
May 25, 2007
Nor-Tech has released the third version in the series of 43,
47 and 50 SUPERCATS.
The first boat to hit the water is a quad engine 5000 Roadster. This third model shares the basic design cues of the GTR (Retractable Hard Top). While giving passengers an open feel it has a new look and more protection from the elements than found on the previous boats.
The cockpit features seating for six with plenty of leg room for all. Other features found is a twelve speaker sound system which is also integrated into the intercom. Fore and aft cameras provide all occupants with a comprehensive view of the surroundings displayed on three separate monitors.
Below decks is accessed through two flush mounted deck hatches. The starboard side contains a porti-potti and a sink with a pull out shower. The port side has ample storage with a large four place fender rack.
The generous engine bay was designed to accommodate twin or quad engines and an option for turbines.
The first boat features quad Mercury Racing 662 EU engines which are CE approved for emissions in the European Union. The engines are coupled to four NXT Drives. Exhaust is routed below water with Nor-Techs Stealth sound system which is also approved for CE standards compliance.
The next models on the horizon will be the new 4300 and another 5000 cat with turbines.
