Liquid Glass Powerboats offers Performance Boat Education from the Tres Martin Performance Boat School

Liquid Glass Powerboats and Tres Martins Performance Boat School announced today with the purchase of the Liquid Glass Powerboats 41 Luxury Cat model, a certified course at the Tres Martin Performance Boating School valued at $2,500 will be included with a powerboat purchase. In the Company’s 29 year history of custom powerboat building, Liquid Glass Powerboats has been an ardent supporter of safe high-performance powerboating. 41 Luxury Cat owners now have the opportunity to learn alongside seasoned professionals and demonstrate skills to ensure understanding and safe operation of these high-performance boats.

For Liquid Glass Powerboats, safety begins at the core. The 41 Luxury Cat mold was developed from a precision-tuned CNC machine to ensure exact proportions and precise hull angles and edges. Liquid Glass has invested in cutting edge technology to construct fiberglass hulls using a time-tested technique called Infusion Molding. Far superior to vacuum bagging and hand-laying hulls, Infusion Molding injects the optimum glass and resin ratio proportions into a closed mold cavity under pressure. The result is fiberglass hulls that cure with exact durability and quality. Infusion Molded hulls are up to 45% stronger, 100% stiffer, and 46% lighter than vacuum bagged and hand-laid hulls. In addition, Liquid Glass Powerboats safely secures all six passengers in heavy-duty, bolstered 6-way power seats and even provides front and rear mounted cameras, viewable at the helm, for safe docking and trailering.

Tres Martin, a renowned high performance racing champion, began in the boating industry in the late 70s. His numerous racing victories include World and National Championships. Brad Schoenwald, a career Coast Guard Officer, licensed master is trained in instructional technologies. The Tres Martin Performance Boating School has filled a need in the industry by educating boat owners on the proper and safe operation of vessels.

Boat school education begins covering the basics of boating safety and related equipment and develops to very specific and detailed instruction. Eleven structured lesson plans provide vital training and information. Topics include rules of the waterway, boat maintenance, occupant safety, and a complete explanation of the dynamics of hull design. Time is spent on the specifics of trimming, tabbing, acceleration, deceleration, turning, wave and wake crossing and how to take corrective action in the event of a problem. On day two, students get a first hand demonstration of everything they have learned in a real world environment. The students are shown how to operate essential equipment, conduct pre-launch checks, basic maintenance, and potential problem areas. Then each student must properly execute all of the performance fundamentals and complete maneuvers in their boats until they are able to demonstrate proper execution to the satisfaction of the instructors. They must also pass a final written exam and performance trial before receiving certification.
