Donzi Announces High Performance Driving School
Sarasota, FL, August 25 — Donzi Marine will begin providing detailed hands-on instruction to new Donzi owners at its own two-day High Performance Driving School, the Sarasota, Florida based powerboat builder announced today.
For a limited time, commencing in September, the course will be included with the purchase of new 2009 and 2010 model Donzi powerboats, 32’ and up.
The Donzi High Performance Driving School’s curriculum will be specially tailored to the needs of each student, with topics ranging from routine maintenance and care, trailering basics, docking, safety, and seamanship, to more advanced lessons in hydrodynamic principles and high performance boat handling.
Following a one on one consultation at the company’s Sarasota, Florida facility to determine the student’s needs, Donzi’s in-house experts will share their knowledge through a variety of informal settings from the classroom to the factory floor. In addition to learning safe boating practices, students of the school will receive detailed explanations of the features, functions, and onboard systems unique to their own new boat. The land-based instruction will be followed by comprehensive hands-on training at the helm of a Donzi with high performance boat veteran Craig Barrie, Donzi’s vice president of sales, who will run the school.
“This isn’t just driver’s training, but also a personalized introduction between a boating family and their new Donzi,” said Barrie, adding, “Handling a high performance boat doesn’t have to be nearly as intimidating as most people think it is. No matter what a boat owner’s level of proficiency is, the Donzi High Performance Driving School will help them get more performance out of their Donzi, and more enjoyment out of their time on the water.”
