Default UIM at the Worlds

If you want to see what the APBA/UIM looked like back in 89, get the freeze frame video of the Trump Worlds in A/C. Over 20 UIM boats made the trip over to race at the Worlds.

Great video, lots of super rough water and the Italians drove right through it.

It was the 1989 Worlds in Atlantic City. The tape said over 100 boats and it sure looked like it.

I have no idea why or how they got here. Maybe call Jeff since he was there.

They ran in these classes.

Super boat
UIM Class 1
UIM Class 2
Modified
Prostock

That's all I saw on the tape. Also racing was over 5 days. The days for the National classes and two separate days for the divisional classes. The DVD was well worth watching. The US boyz took it easy in the big swells running in the mid 50s while the Italians ran at full speed with their diesel engines. Great wave jumping action.

Those swells were like running up and down mountains in the B-Class boat and occasionaly a wave would just be strong enough to knock you off plane...

Hurts just thinking about it........

It's an excellent DVD! A must have.......

Well if UIM is going to be a factor for SBI/APBA then lets get a repeat of 1989. That would ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!
