Funny how everyone thinks a BPM is a totally different drive unit.
The BPM would, if one used different cylinders, steer and trim the same as the Arneson does. They use the same exact parts as the Arneson drive unit from Arneson. They just use a counter rotating box they built, built around the Arneson parts.
The Arneson can be made fixed as well like the example of the Bacardi boat and several others. The need for the BPM box was so that one could use two standard rotating engines. Now the Arneson box come in counter rotating so it's a mute point.

How about the old 38" Cougar, Class 1 boat, first as Dirty Laundry then as Riveted, the follow up was Riveted II 42' CUV, both had Arneson ASD-8's, or were you talking about recent history rather than anceint history ?
