This is your invitation! Put down the snow shovel and come out and party with da Boyz while we crown the new OPA High Points Champion with the coveted Stuggot's Cup. At this moment, last year's winner, Tony Pacheco of Bad Boy Powerboats is prying open his trophy case and returning the Cup to OPA Headquarters so that it may be passed on to the next Champion. All the excitement will take place at the Sawmill Bar and Restaurant on the southern most point of the Seaside Heights, NJ Boardwalk. Re: OPA Awards Party - RSVP
Ron, Ill still be in the Keys with the FPC run. Do we need to send a representative to the meeting or can I just send you a check for the dues
|
Re: OPA Awards Party - RSVP
Hi Otis,
Either way. We could use some $ to get through to the first race, so please send in your registration fees. Since this is your first year racing, it might be a good idea to have a team mate at the meeting if it's possible. I'm sure the meeting will be informative. See ya in Miami! |
Re: OPA Awards Party - RSVP
Ron, What else is on the agenda for the rules meeting? Are there other things that will be voted on at the meeting or is it to vote on the GPS system or the speed check at the beginning of the race season? Seems like lots of ideas have surfaced over the winter and this would be the time to either accept them or reject them for the season. Will these types of ideas not only be discussed but implemented for the season if thats what the registered voters of the meeting want? If nothing else is going to be voted on and implemented for the season then just tell us now.Don't take this the wrong way. I am a need to know kinda guy before the meeting. Keep up the hard work its going to be the best year yet!
MD Sorry I'm on Wil's computer |
Re: OPA Awards Party - RSVP
MD & Willie,
The agenda is open. We have the one big item to work through but after that, we can talk about other issues. That's why the rule book has been pulled off the website. We are waiting for this meeting to finalize the rules for 2006, and hopefully beyond. What items besides - form of speed verification and class structure - would you like to discuss? Just list the topics, not the full discussion. |
Re: OPA Awards Party - RSVP
1) Class structure
Has anyone else seen Mark Hendersons proposal for modifying the classes? Would it be OK for him to post it here to see if other people like it? MD |
Re: OPA Awards Party - RSVP
I guess what I am asking is if we talk about it and the magority of registered teams are a loud to vote on it. Can it be put in the rules for 06 season? I would like to talk about ideas and at the end of the meeting know what the rules will be for 06.
MD |
Re: OPA Awards Party - RSVP
Yup, we are there to finish the rules for 06.
Since all registered racers are not on OSO, I'd like to see you print that out and bring plenty of copies with you. Lets discuss class structure at the meeting with the people that will be racing with OPA in 06. One request, lets not waste time on the numbering changes.....ain't gonna happen, so leave it be. I bet class structure and speed governance will take up our time and should be all that's needed to set the stage for a great season of OPA racing. |
