Wow the OPA definatly has a good thing going here for sure! Great reward for everyone involved.
Just one question and I don't mean to shed any negative light.....but how did the 150 points come about? According to "the book" a first place is only worth 100pts so that means all PP racers got a first and seventh place for showing up. Substantial lead for the points chase. Maybe a no/cancelled race point disbursment needs to be called out in the rule book for next year.
Again i don't want to take away for the gracious generosity of haggin, opa and others but i did think it needed to be mentioned. Open to discussion of course....

That was one of the best things anyone has ever done in this sport! It truly shows the dedication of AMF/OPA to pass out checks to all the teams for showing up with there boats.
Rummer has it that I may have to give my first place trophy to Eric ( Mini Me) under protest. Someone saw the trophy bitc$$ with a deck of cards at the awards

Thanks Guys!
John Haggin,OPA, AMF,Ron P.,Smitty,Augie and everyone else who had a hand in making this event happen. I had so much fun I keep forgetting we were fogged out! I got to met a lot of people that i only knew from OSO and everyone was just great. The tostersterone in my brain kept saying we could race but the call was the only thing to do, keep everyone safe for the next race. The generosity, comoradery and promoting our sport is beyond words. The fans were unbelievable hanging in there till the end. Thanks Again.
See you in Ohio,
Louietherigger
PS, I got a great trophy and still have gas for the next race

It's actually 100 points plus one point for each boat you beat in your class. With 33 boats, I think Smitty just threw out 150 as the number when I asked the question.

Thanks John (AMF), and all the OPA staff. We had a GREAT time in PP, and will be back again. The things that happen this past weekend were truly unbelievable!! We have never even heard of being Fed, watered, and PAID. but it did happen. Racing with OPA has been the best thing we did in a long time. THANKS GUYS!!!

Thanks to NJ Offshore,OPA and of course John, and the entire AMF crew for pulling together to put on a great event. It was very disappointing not being able to race, but everyone understands that the safety of the racers;the officials, the volunteers, and the fans, has to come first. The show up money was just an unbelievable gesture, and greatly appreciated!Already looking forward to the next race!!
