2007 OPA Paperwork is now on website.
Calling All Racers,
The 2006 racing season was a great success and Mike and I are looking forward to bringing Registration to an even higher level. We spent the 2006 winter season designing new forms that were not so redundant and managed to put them into a nice PDF format. We also spent time designing a robust database that will help automate the OPA registration process. There are now a total of 80 boats loaded in the system and we hope to have even more this 2007 racing season. The forms that are posted on the OPA website will ONLY NEED TO BE FILLED OUT ONCE!
Go to www.oparacing.com and click on the 2007 Paperwork link.
Please bring the paperwork filled out completely to the winter party on February 10, 2006 or at the first race of the season. Mike and I will update the entire database before the first race so that registration will be the way you all like it, FAST! Of course if you give us the paperwork the day before the race we will not have the database updated for your boat. When you replace a racer for any different position in the boat, then you will have to tell us and make sure your paperwork reflects that information for that particular race. Mike and I found that Talk Offshore and Freeze Frame did not always have the correct information for the racers in the boats and therefore the particular racers names were not always mentioned. Please make sure that you supply your social security number where asked on the forms, as this is the key used to automate our database. This information is in strict confidence and is never given out without your permission. Listed below are instructions on what is needed for each of the 7 forms:
7 Individual Membership Form-Filled out completely, signed and dated. Pay fee of $100 for a one time yearly fee.
7 Equipment Registration Form-Filled out completely, signed and dated. Pay fee of $500 for a one time yearly fee. Even if it the last race of the season.
7 Medical Information Form-Filled out completely, signed and dated. No Fee
7 Race Entry Form-Filled out completely, signed and dated. No Fee
7 Medical Rescue Form-Each individually filled out this year. Will include all races for the individual racer on each form. 3 in the boat, 3 individual forms needed!
7 Inspection Form-Fill out only the top portion with asterisks. Racer to sign at registration for each race so that the inspector can sign and we do not have to look for you to sign.
7 W9 Form-Fill out only top portion with asterisks. Sign and date by asterisks. No signature, no purse money! Please write clearly.
Anyone who wants to mail your forms with checks only can send it to: (Do not send to Smitty since he is busy with a million other things!) Send via US mail to:
