Would love to. ST Clair. Friday. Problem is the timing equipment is expensive, if you want to do it right. Any support for this? Smitty

I dont think you need more than a quarter mile to get to top speed in most classes. For a first time attempt I think a stop watch with a radar gun just might do fine. 2- 3 people could do it. One spotter with glasses to to see when a flag drops, one stopwatch person and one radar gun shooter. Maybe the fastest time gets the pole position on the start the next day. Of course the radar gun guy needs to yell when the boat gets to 5mph slower than the bracket speed for the final number. As we all know it would be impossible to reach our max speed.

I think we can actually do this with the GPS boxes. They would show the time from 0 to the bracket speed. I spoke to Evil Ed from St Clair all is a go. Smitty

We are in. I'm sure we could local Police to donate a radar gun so fans could here speed right after run.

PS we need a couple of miles to get the Cat fully aired out for max speed with big props.
