GLOPRA at Cleveland In-Water Boat Show
GLOPRA and Jim Simmons of the World Champion P4-1 USAuctions.com teamed up for the Cleveland In-Water Boat Show on January 12th through 21st, 2007. This show is billed as the largest indoor boat show in the US.
We did hand out sheets with the tentative 2007 OPA race schedule, along with the website addresses for OPA, GLOPRA, the new Offshore Racing League, and Blue Water Offshore Racing Association. Thanks to Jeff Gerardi for supplying videos of last year's races, which were a big hit with the crowd (and certainly helped to bring people into the booth). Thanks also to Ron Polli, who supplied copies of the Extreme Boating magazine that had the feature article on the St. Clair race, along with a full page spread of the USAuctions.com boat taken during the St. Clair race.
At last, but not least -- Thanks to Jim and his family for helping out for the entire show and bringing the boat down!
GLOPRA and USAuctions.com will also be appearing on March 16th through the 17th at the Cleveland Autorama, which will also be held at the IX Center in Cleveland.

One of the "fan base building" activities is to let some of the smaller "fans" try out the boat and some of the equipment. Here's a couple pictures of one young fan getting some pointers from Jim:

Hopefully I will have more pictures from the Autorama in a couple of weeks. If anyone is in the area over the weekend of 3/15 - 3/17, please stop by and say hello. We are hoping that the audience at the AutoRama will become interested in helping us all out, who knows, we may even pick up a few new racers!
