Default Ocean City Safety

A few teams have called in concerned with the amount of teams in attendance, water safety might be an issue.

Legitimate concern. We have rescue teams coming from Michigan, Ohio, Jersey, Fla, and Maryland. And a real qualified Medical recue expert in charge. Fear not.

Any team that puts it on the roof, I'll roll mine over next to you and wave.

Both Reliable and GEICO have instructed their private Safety Helos/dive teams to assist with any incident on the course if needed.

Ed - I'll be sure Will keeps it down this year..I've read some complaints from the "Big Dawgs" ..on the internet, that the ol'Apache was too fast last year for the start... ..my bad..

I know a few canopied Fountains did us like we were standing still... ..but ok....

Hey, they said 55 so we did 55 on the money until they told us to slow it down some. Due to the water conditions I even asked Marty to double check with race control while the boats were waiting in the mill and they told us once again to take them at 55 since we were leading the "big boats". Sorry guys. I will have somebody spotting the fleet behind us if they let me do it again this year.

I will say that Wanted, Wazzup and On The Chip were right there with us the whole time. By the end of the back stretch we were all four almost off plane waiting for some of the other boats to catch up and get in line for the start. We'll work it out a little better this year. I'll tell you what. If we have the same conditions this year, rather than making them wait for us, we will allow the race boats to start down the course when they see this and we'll just catch up to them.

HotDuck !Where the hell did you get that name ? Anyway the start was great. I'm not sure who the big dawgs are or what the problem was. Comman sense tells me that what's most important is that you keep your speed consistant and you did.As far as I know Smitty is the big dawg in OPA and he left us so fast you would think he just robbed our homes and had my big rotti chasing em !!!!

What is frustrating is when at the drivers meeting we get told the flag is gonna drop at around point A and it dosen't drop till point C. Curtis dosen't understand 1/2 throttle
