EZ got you covered and logged. Just follow the sign on your way into town to the dry pit check in. Do you know by chance how many other V's V - Lite's are coming? Welcome to St. Clair, the sport and Good Luck.
Thanks Brian

Wow, thats complete CRAP because my sister wanted to race, and she is 16 and OPA officials told her that she had to be 18 to race.
At least shes not only 14 and she actually has a DRIVERS LICENSE!!
Why would they let a 14 year old boy race, and not a 16 year old girl?
Thats a double-standard if I ever saw one.

anyone want to answer? I too, thought you had to be 18 for insurance reasons. But then again, if the parents sign a waiver it may be allowed.

Really?
First let me say I dont have a problem with Boomer racing, Hell I raced KX80's at 11, and I let my 8yr old race 50cc now. I just know Heather is pretty bummed she has to wait till she's 18 to race.

The age limit is mandated by our rule book. I spoke to the underwriters last week to see if something could be done. After all, look at all the kids racing with APBA in all the outboard classes. Not that we want kids out on the coarse at the same time with 100 mph boats, but maybe in some sort of exibition series. Bat boats came to mind. Parent/ Child type of thing. trying to put it together for St Clair. Smitty

Hey Bill,
Last year we wound up 40 minutes away from St Clair, there are other hotels in the area that are pretty nice. If you need us to, We can look around for you, it would be the least we could do after the hospitality you showed us in Ocean City.

I think Boomer and all the Jr. racers should be allowed to race, they are the future of this sport! keeping it in an exhibition form, with a parent in the boat ( like Smitty said)
is the way to go.
