Plans were to head out Thurs after work. What do did you plan on leaving Fri? And does this help? Do ya need me to zoom out to Sandy HooK? (I gotta feeling I'm gonna pay dealry for this one.)

Better off going the GW way, unless you are very brave and take the Verranzano, to the BQE to the LIE.
You'll be on 95 coming from MD, so just head up the Turnpike to the GW. (Plus you really really DO NOT want to drive through Staten Island

No, FI has a lot of islands and shoals before the bay opens up and I need to know what the best route is to get to the back of the bay, I also need some kind of waypoint or land marker (water tower) or something to let me know where the marina is once I'm running the bay.
