New race site for 2008
 

Harrison Twp Michigan, will be the second stop of the Michigan Triple Crown. Gino's surf, and Coca Cola, are the sponsors of the event. Wes Wyatt, was very instrumental in putting this event together. Thanks Wes.

Thats KILLER!!!!!!! Sounds like the Metro Beach site will be there again, like the old days !

Maybe Poker will bring out the old Skater for that event.

Algonac, is gone for 2008. The economy in Michigan has taken it's toll on that sleepy little town. Too bad it was a great season opener. Dont worry........more things in the works. Hang in there. Smitty

PARK AMENITIES
Metro Beach Metropark features a one-mile shoreline and a 1,600 foot boardwalk on picturesque Lake St. Clair. This 770-acre recreational facility is a haven for boaters, swimmers and anglers. The marsh area is home to an abundance of waterfowl, and is a top bird watching site. The park features a swimming pool, spray park, marinas, nature center, Par-3 golf course, adventure golf and picnic areas. No dogs or pets are allowed in the park.

It should be a great venue, always was before.

*Maybe we can add a right and left turn to the course?

Rick - post that course over a map with water levels. I'd be interested to know the depth in that area.

The race will be not held in front of the park due to the water table of the lake. The race will be off of Ginos. 3/4 of a mile out. That is where we found the minimum water depth we needed.

Cool. If you can have it go by the point of the park that would provide a great viewpoint. Anything I can do to help with this venue just let me know.

Oh ya and you may want a few more patrol boats than usual....this is only a couple miles from where we do the Raft-up later in the year. 3,000 boats anchored, partying it up! i'd imagine more than a few boats will be rafted up for the races.

Just to clarify this is in place of the TBD race correct? July 12-13 would be the dates?

I have been to that park before that is where we picked up the Black Thunder. It is a pretty cool area.

Bobby...you just make sure your ready for the tri- fecta....and try not to catch on fire this time....
