Jimmy Winters Steps UP!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know most of the talk around the races really is just BS, ego and smack talk. However, when it comes to safety it gets a little more serious.
Let me tell you a story about a friend of ours and what he's doing for his friends and fellow racers.
As you know Mercury and Haggin teamed up to add a much needed piece of the safety equipment to the race course. The Miss GEICO/MERCURY Safety Rib. While discussing the needs of the boat I felt a shadow behind me...big shadow. The challenge was we had hundreds of thousands into the high speed safety rib program at this point and to finish the project right we needed a real trauma Dr. on the boat....exspensive.
then ..the voice...long Island ... "Whats the problem ,These are my friends . I'll take care of it. You make sure my friends are safe"
That's right people OTC Jimmy is picking up the tab for OPA racers to have the best on the water where it counts. A Trauma Doctor.
Pat him on the back when you see him and say thank you.

That's a pretty nice Christmas gift from Santa Chip. I really just met all you guys this year and have enjoyed your friendship, I'm coming back for next season so my kids can keep buggin Marc and Scotty ( your their heros, they talk you guys up to all their friends whan they see those hero cards you signed for em ) and I will continue to, for some more ribbing from Jimmy. Thanks for supporting the well being of your fellow racers,
