Just got off the phone with Joe Peary, Pats friend, and crew for Hot Licks racing. He said they are still out there now looking for Pat with about 15 other boats there helping. No sign of Pat thus far. Joe said the water is about 100 foot deep where the accident occured. Spoke to Bobby's mom and she said Bobby is fine but banged up a little. Anything the Reiter family may need please let me know. My deepest sympathy. Alan Petitt-OPA Racing

Squirrel.....You have a great attitude...always wanting to help out anyone that needs it.....when we are ready to throw in the towel....you jump right in and pick it up and say...."LET ME GET MY TOOLS....I CAN FIX THAT..."
Its great having you around as a good freind and racer.....and what a great way to promote our sport with another father and son race team.....your 2 chipmunks are learning from the squirrel that in life, giving is just as important as receiving....and they are seeing first hand Dad is setting the example.....one day you'll be sitting back on your rocking chair...(of course the one you made from scap metal from soda cans you welded together) and watching your 2 chipmunks have grown up to be great squirrel's just like pop is......

Update: I had just gotten in from the water. I first, on behalf the the family, want to thank everyone for thier well wishes. The Rieter Family is pround to be associated with such a professional group of team mates. I had been on the water since 6:00 am, with approx. 15 of Pats close friends and 6 DNR and CC boats and 3 helicopters. We are continuing the search for Pat in the morning. The water in the area of the accident is about 125' deep. The curent rips at 5 to 6 knots. The body of water is in the Patuxent River in Calver County MD. The river is about 3/4 mile wide at it's narrowest point. Josh and Kenny are fine, and will make a speed recovery. BobbyB as Mike had mentioned is doing better and expects to make a full recovery also. I also want to thank everyone who called today wanting to help in the search. I will update as I can. I will be on the water to help in the search tomorrow at 6:00 am. If you wish to contact me tomorrow, please feel free to do so at Joe Peary 301-904-9993.
