I am working as fast as I can to get the boat ready for this season. I cant wait to run with you guys. Thanks for the number assignment 647 when the boat last raced in 1979 it was number 47 someone out here did a little research. Yes not the newest boat but still runs strong.

Josh,
I hope you get your boat done! The more boats, the better racing! I bet it was Waterboy who looked up your old #.

Chris - I'm not sure, but following what was discussed on the conference call, I don't think that your Platinum will be "grandfathered" in to class 5. I mean it's up to the rest of the guys, but I think you MIGHT have an unfair advantage??

On a serious note, I think class 6 will allow us to take part in more races. I know it's only 5 mph but still...I guess it all depends on what we can do with our motor "situation."

During the confrence call with OPA, it was suggested that class 6 be based on an engine not more than 509 CID (this allows for a couple of 502 rebuilds) and aproxiamtely 500 horsepower. I believe Thunderstruck has a 540 with alot of power. OPA talked about limiting the power of Thunderstruck, without them having them do a complete rebuild of the engine.

Was thinking we were talking class 5, I can see there being some sort of small limit on 6.
