Brick, New Jersey. The OPA Offshore Racing Series presented by GEICO is proud to announce a comprehensive race programming schedule with VERSUS, the fastest growing sports cable network in the country. The eight race series will air Sunday, November 14, at 4 p.m. ET and run consecutive Sundays at 4 p.m. ET thru Jan 2, 2011.

Each episode will showcase the on and off water action as the world's top offshore racers battle for the coveted title of World Champion. The first episode will feature a comprehensive overview of the sport and allow viewers to experience the first race from Ocean City, Md. The final episode culminates with the World Championships from Orange Beach, Ala.

The OPA Offshore Racing Series presented by GEICO will be filmed in high definition by Tampa Digital Studios, Inc. and will focus on all the racing action, technology, equipment, personalities and behind-the-scenes drama associated with world class offshore racing.

BLA,BLA,BLA,BLAAAAA<25 years listening and making a living in boat racing only one guy got it on TV Micheal Alwise......... had the sport going in the professional direction he got greedy screwed speed channel then came OSS and until the want to be bill frances grow up and get along we will always have the spring time promise of TV and 15 or 20 boat races on the same weekends in different towns. HOLY CRAP SOMEONE SAID IT OUT LOUD. Read it quick it wont be hear long Im sure someone will complain and it will get deleted. So show US TV a schedules.

The only false info I see is that SBI did actually have tv on OLN at least in 02-03. Mr Alweiss was not the "only one"

You are exactly right for your feelings and explanations. For the past few years, we have heard nothing but sales pitches and we are the bestess, etc. I can remember hearing about going to China, tv in 06, Hulk Hogan, every team will be given a sponsor(if you show up for the auditions), up to CBS and your right, nothing happened. Was it anybody in particular's fault? Never, it was always someone else's....

Unfortunately, all of offshore is in an awkward position due to these broken promises, but hopefully in November you will be sitting in front of a television and watching the VS telecast. The proof is in the pudding. I know for a fact that Mr Haggin and Mr McComb wouldnt put something of this magnitude to their names w/o it being a signed, sealed, PIF deal. Also as well, do you think Geico Insurance would allow their name to be attached to something like this, and it not be true, especially when they are currently in litigation with another company for misrepresentation?
