I like a entry level idea, but not a specific class for it. Make a one time discount and loaner GPS for anyone who races in 1 race in any class, not eligible for prize money or points, only trophy. This way any guy with a boat that fits 1-6 can try it out. If he likes it, pay full registration for rest of season, minus what he already paid.

If you declare class 6 the "entry level class" you won't have
any boats at some race sites and very few at others.

The current class formula works, we have a good boat count.
