Will the dry pits and meeting be in port Huron, or Canada?

mesablue 02-04-2011 11:40 PM

Man that course will provide setup nightmares if the wind is just right. Everything from flat to swells and a really swift current under the bridge. Great viewing from lots of locations though.

Have been asked that question also and I would guess that "both" may be used. The Canadian casino helped pay for the cost so I'm sure they would like some boats in there lot and marina. But I'm only Guessing"

The pits are going to change a little but still in the same area. Everything else stays the same.

If anyone has some ideas please let me know.

From what I understand dry pit locations for Port Huron are being worked out now. If I hear of the exact location(s) I will advise.

Now that both the marinas we used for those races have significant vacancies they might welcome it back. But alas, Mike is the Race Director and he would have to set it all up. :drink::drink: I will volunteer to do women and drink testing there also. :drink::drink:

Has Ocean City been officially taken off of the schedule ?

Last I read JUNE was still in the works....

If Ocean City is definitely out, I need to make other plans soon...

TylerCrockett 02-21-2011 07:44 AM

I predict everyone breaks out accept PFE he can't get to 69mph against that currant !!!!!!!!

gary cook 02-21-2011 10:37 AM

:bsflag:
With the new engine we have we might be able to go 69 but i bet we will stay on course and go on the right side of the course markers.
You know that supped up 260 is going to be the hot ticket .

fastedy 02-22-2011 04:04 PM

any word on Sunny Isles?

Dredd 02-22-2011 04:18 PM

Will OPA be aired on VERSUS again this season?

Wazzup Racing 02-26-2011 10:24 AM

Sunny Isles is ago. 3rd week in June.
TV will also be part of the OPA season.

DriverofDonzi 02-26-2011 02:40 PM

Smitty,

Since we have Port Huron and St. Clair...Does that means no more Harrison Twp???

Chris

StClairRaceFan 02-28-2011 01:13 AM

I live in Port Huron and no one in their right mind makes a turn under the Blue Water Bridge. Can't imagine the river being wide enough for racers to make a turn in it and the water would be way to chopped up. Boats would be breaking out on the down stream part of the lap as the current is so much faster here than St. Clair

Hush.... thats the "home team" advantage the locals should not be talking about. :lolhit:

And I was told the turn has been moved much further south of the bridge.

Which one?

Smitty out of the 3 web sites that claim to be the official web site of OPA, could you please tell me which one is the actual official one?

I have a few meetings and conference calls with potentials in the next few weeks and we have a choice of racingtour which is the best looking however is hardly ever updated unless Geico stubs their toe. .org hmmm I refuse to be critical, but I mean look at it, need I say more.. JB.com is in the middle of a major overhaul and the webmaster is waiting on the new software to arrive so it might be a little while b4 that comes to life, plus the guns and bats arent really marketable to the Fortune 500's.

Thanks in advance for your clarification!!

Wazzup Racing 02-28-2011 12:27 PM

Go to OPAracing.org. Click on the 2011 schedule. The Sunny Isles race is a go and will be updated from it's tentative status.
The first race in June, is pending, and will be complete late this week. Sorry for the delay. We just dont want to put anything up that is not Rock Solid.

gary cook 02-28-2011 12:41 PM

Smitty i have meeting on friday give me a call when you have a second.
