Thanks to the helicopter for dropping down on the transom of the Start/Finish boat, blowing water onto my equipment and the TV crew's video equipment. Fortunately the TV Cam was wrapped in a plastic bag.

His rotor wash was so hard it ended up forcing the anchor to break free and put us adrift prior to the start of the second race.

For whatever reason he kept ignoring me waving him off...

I asked the chief scorer to get on the radio and tell him to back off. Suddenly he did.

End of the 2nd race, he came back and did it all over again !!! :mad:

Perhaps if I through a sandwich at him it would have got his attention... He certainly would have been able to catch it. Yes, he was that close !!!

To make things even worse, the awards was raining Champagne. Fortunately I was quick enough to dodge that mess...

I can't wait to see what the bills are going to be to have all 3 cameras and lenses serviced ...... :(

Yeah, it seemed many got up close and personal on Sunday...

Some I can trust passing within 25 feet of me at over 100mph.

Others that kept me ready to jump at any moment.

And of course that annoying bird..... :rolleyes:

The cameras need to go out for service now thanks to the Rotor Wash. The amount of spots I am having to clean off these images is killing me and in part why it is taking so long to edit... :(

Hey Tim, any chance you can youtube that 1st lap from the gopro, great vid of Johnny and Jason taking the inside lane and of how close we all were at that 75mph start, its 25 minutes in I just dont know how to edit
