Dude, this is OPA racing, there is no "plan". You show up with all that stuff and there will be :

A) Several teams that will welcome you with open arms.
B) Lots of cool broken stuff to look at and maybe even touch.
C) A party breaking out.
D) A very good possibility you will wake up pantsless in a pool of blood and vomit, with a huge smile on your face. :lolhit:

IN MY OPINION,

The Metallica Concert at Bader Field on the same weekend Saturday & Sunday, 300 + Custom Car & Motorcycle Show and the annual NJPPC Poker Run on Friday & Fun Run Saturday, I don't see AC having a problem selling out rooms that weekend therefore not having a "real need" to have an additional event" such as an offshore race to bring people in and fill the hotels and casinos.

They may not want to stress the resources they have to handle the concert and car show as well as a boat race.

Just thinking logically...

I don't know how much planning has been going on, but if they are just getting the OK now, then it's back to trying to put another race on without enough time to give it 100% .

My thought would be, start planning Atlantic City now for 2013 . The City & the OPA could make it HUGE provided they get the time to do it.

It would be great if it happens, but even greater if there is enough time to plan it with enough resources available...
