My son and I had an unbelievable weekend and want to thank everybody that was involved. We brought our BatBoat(we live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa), to show Chris Reindl as it was the best opportunity as far as both distance and timing. As things happen, Chris blew a motor in practice on Saturday. Since we did some major work over the winter/spring (No Coast Marine, St. Louis Mo.), we had only put about an hour on the boat. After running some laps late Saturday, we decided that the StLukesEarlyDetection.com BatBoat was ready to go! Chris throttled, and my son Cody drove in his very first race. While Chris played it conservative in the start, they ended up taking third place (with PFE breaking out).

That all said, the trophy does not compare with how everybody treated two strangers new to the sport. I was both taken aback and amazed. It was a weekend that my son and I will not soon forget. You have no idea how some of the smallest comments from real "racers" made us feel. Once again, thank you to everybody involved! Individually and as an organization, you are a class act!

Jeff, it was nice to meet you. What are the odds of meeting someone from Cedar Rapids in St Clair, Mi. that knows a good friend of mine in Cedar Rapids Iowa. I will be sure to get in contact with you when we take the boat out there to see Rick.
