Default Class 5

Class 5 is listed as single but I see a twin outboard running in class 5. If someone was putting together a twin outboard 28' boat and possibly wanted to race in the future what class would it be and are their any engine restrictions..?

CLASS 5 had the rules adjusted to single inboard vees to 30ft/75mph...but twin outboard vees are still legal."Dirty Sutphen" a 26ft Sutphen with twin outboards is currently racing CLASS 5...and "Specialized Racing" a 30ft Superboat with twin outboards plans to return in 2014.But to be sure, call or email OPA .It would be great to see the Ghost hulls racing again...it also looks like a 23ft Ghost with a single outboard will be joining OPA in 2014.The Kalibats certainly know how to build boats...and they were great racers too...the V-84 and S-84 boats ran awesome!
