Default There I was true story 2014

In typical form after the big awards party we stopped back at the bar at the host hotel for just one more night cap. While sitting at the bar having a glass of Grand Marnier cognac with Don and the Strictly business crew I was tell him about one of the most expensive glasses of cognac there is and that I actually tried it at my Christmas party. The bar tender over heard us and said they have that cognac here but no one in her history has EVER bought a glass of it. I asked her the cost of a glass and she said $200. This is Louie XIII and it cost over $2500 for a bottle of it. I was dumb enough to say OK lets give it a try and I will let my friends all taste it to have the experience. I whipped out my American Express and put it on the bar , she poured a double shot and we were off to the taste sampling UNTIL I got to Dee. She was talking to someone and I asked if she would like to try a sip of this cognac. Little did I know she must not have heard me say sip. She took the sifter and slammed it like a big shot and said thanks. My jaw hit the floor and I left laughing. She had no idea that sip cost more than he trip to NJ LOL. I went back to my stool and finished my other drink. Grabbed my credit card and went to bed. In the morning I get a call from Don telling me I never paid for the drink and I owed him the cash LOL Sorry Don I thought she rang me up. You cant make this stuff up.
