Cant speak for this year, but in years past the OPA policy was "All boats are welcome to race OPA at any time"
If you plan to run your Bandit SVL boat Chris, you would be in Class 4 which requires the OPA GPS system... I dont have access to the pelican box, power cord, antenna, but you are more than welcome to use my base unit that Frank V has listed under "Fourmula 400" ... Its your option, but it will save you ballpark 500 for unit... As far as monies, etc, and everything else you can call Dor @ 732-977-5638
Disclaimer: I am not OPA, I do not speak for OPA, just wanted to help a fellow racer save money from having to buy a new GPS

I hear ya... You'll enjoy Class 4, it might be thin on count but a great group of guys to race against, they give it 110%, but more importantly they race against you respectfully. You cant go wrong, you'll definitely have a great time
Just refer Dor to my offer above and she can print screen it and put it in your folder if the time comes and you need it... Shes really big on things in writing

I don't think it is much to rent the unit , soup to nuts from Frank , the gps guy. The part that stings is the 500 cash deposit for it. He does not take cc's. I would touch base with him before hand. He's a nice guy, just don't piss him off. :-)
