While the rest of us were racing, Smitty, Sticks and Jay of Team WAZZUP pulled off the race course yesterday to aid long time friend Larry Wherlan, his son and crew member after their race boat "The Old Buckshot" had split in three sections. The Buckshot Crew are OK as they went off to area hospitals thanks to ALL the Medical Crews, Divers, Sweep Boats, Coast Guard, NJ Marine Police and of course Team WAZZUP. Thank You all, from all of us.

Thanks guys but we were of no help at all. The OPA safety team had things well under control. When we came up on Buckshot we instantly turned in to see if we could be of any help. Two things instantly went through my head the safety of the crew, and Doug Lewis, that boat was his baby. We lost two legends this month. Smitty
