It looks like the class will be Superboat Unlimited: 1200 cubic inch displacement total....and supercharging and turbocharging is legal. Refinement of the boat is in the works.
Thanks again for your help John! The website is a great asset.
Have a great season!

Where have you guys been for the last 3 years. The #99 has been on the Switch boat. The boat this year like the last year will be running both circuits, so can you look at having a different choice of numbers for this season. Thanks Rick T.

[QUOTE=BruceK]As said in an earlier post. BTW- we had already thought of this right after last season. If you two guys really did think about it ,you would have taken a different number. In the last powerboat mag, the Apba /SBI merge the Switch boat #99 and if you look on the canope SBI logo is on the boat too.We have sponsors that have seen the boat with the #99 on it for the last 3 years, also tee shirts, race uniforms, all support vehicles. What a way to start a race season with Deceitful tactic and lack of respect for your fellow racers !

Ok Rick, we will really think about it...... Our master plan has been exposed. We decided back in August to buy a Super V just to steal your number, then we joined APBA knowing that they would merge with SBI the following year so that we could snake your number and we almost pulled it off until Ryan exposed us then called you. Damn, foiled again.

Lets get something straight..... no part of me is deceitful and I resent your ill placed and non predicated comment. Obviously I had no idea that SBI and APBA would merge and neither did APBA at the time I paid my equipment registration. Further, I did not know that your boat even ran the 99 since I have never seen the boat. I requested and was granted the number based upon NO OTHER APBA boats using that number. The world wont come to an end if we cant use 99... it merely had some signifigance to my throttleman who used that number from '97 till 2000. So I guess that you are really the one that needed to think about before jumping on us. I believe it was made very clear in Bruce's prior posts that the issue was not the use of the number but why Ryan was concerned with our number. (which has been cleared up)

Bruce stated "If thats the case, no problem".... That means that if you are registered as a super v for 2005 and have been before we would respect that. Do you read that differently?

I think a retraction of the deceitful and disrepectfull comment would be appropriate at this point, if you disagree then let it ride.

Re: Cool - New Super Boat Site is up

FYI... from the SBI website

4(A)(2) Annual Registration -

All race boats entered in a sanctioned race must be registered annually with SBI/APBA Offshore.

4(A)(3) Effective Dates -

Registrations and assignments of racing numbers become effective November 1 and are valid until October 31, unless rescinded or surrendered. When requested, the numbers of the previous membership year will be reassigned if the application is received prior to October 31 of the current membership year. After October 31, all unregistered racing numbers will be considered void without further notification.

So it would appear that if you fail to register your boat for the upcoming season you lose your right to claim the number. Likewise, if you pay your annual registration prior to October 31, 2004 you would be good for another year. I dont make the rules, I just follow them. Did you pay your SBI dues prior to October 31, 2004???
