Not to mention the other "lake boats" that you metioned are some of the finest built west coast boats out there. Eliminator is an icon in the industry and they do build some "offshore" boats. what do you call a 36 that does 140 plus ? They are the only ones that I know of to go 100 mph with stock 496's too. Nordic builds some very high quality boats, and they are borderline offshore, it depends on your defenition. They are one of the few builders that build their entire boat in house, from windscreen, to interior, to the trailer. Advantages are a nice boat as well in their piece of the market, they are not trying to compete with OL or founain, that's not their buisness. You are comparing apples and oranges. As you can see if you would just chill out and act like a normal grown person, wich you claim to be, you can learn alot around here and make some good friends. This isn't your average forum, we are actually constructive around here. When you come in and start stirring a pot that your not realy even involved in, it's gonna agitate some people, including myself. The best thing you could do from here is delete this thread, then go introduce yourself over in the General boating discussion forum, you will find people around here are pretty cool and there is alot of info regarding the history of boat builders and offshore racing available to you. Take advantage of it instead of irritating averyone in her.

You're 21 which means that you've only been wiping it for about 17 years or so which means that you don't know diddly yet. Maybe you think you're heading in the right direction by doing what you're doing in life, but you haven't been around long enough yet to take it on the chin a few times and really know where it's going. Your youth is showing through in your posts, what's with the 'tude anyway There's nothing but mostly good people here, drop it and have some fun and learn something.

BTW...I've been on OLs and Fountains...completely different boats, no doubt about which one I'd pick. I could own a Fountain, but dream of OLs.

Oh, one more thing. I was one of the first people to own a Nordic on the east coast. Most high performance boaters were surprised when they saw the structural and cosmetic design, quality of materials, fit and finish, custom crasftsmanship, and unique features of the boat. There are also a few 35s on Long Island Sound which gets as snotty as anywhere else and they're doing quite well on it. Your "lake boat" statement shows your ignorance and lack of maturity when delivering an opinion.

Sooo...come here to learn and to make friends like many of our other younger members, OR, STFU and stay off the board and save your banter for your IPOD buddies

your right success has nothing to do with money or toys, I earna slightly better then decent living, but not much better. I love what I do and find ways to participate in things that I enjoy on my budget. I consider myself succesfull. I am only 24 years ol myself. I bought my first house at 20, but with help and I'm not to proud to say it, I had parents that gave me a hand up and I appreciate them for it, and they have been repayed. What bothered me about the guys statments was that he came out of nowhere, bashing on boats that many of us consider great boats, you never bash on another mans pride on joy, it's just rude. I would love to own alot of the boats that he speeks so poorly of, One day I would love to own a 28 Pantera and that would be enough for me, I could even handle the 2-3 year wait for a new one that's suppost to take 6 months . It was the attitude and the complete lack of common courtesy that got me going on him, I just don't beleive in calling people idiot, or stupid or anything to that effect, meesing around with people you know is one thing but calling a complete stranger an idiot is just rude, as is bashing on the boat that another man payed alot of money for and loves.
