42 Space for Gen??

Does the 42 with staggered set-up have room for a generator? Has anyone ever put one in and would you recommend the small Westerbeke or the larger enclosed Kohler?

The 2001 42' Legacy for sale in classifieds has a Westerbeke gen (& A/C) with stagger 1100's. Gen is positioned in front of port motor.

My 2001 has a kohler on port side all the way back by transom.

Where to put it is gonna be controlled by where the CG of the boat is set.
