That boat is just plain sick!! What numbers are you putting up. Yours is the first open 43 GTX I believe.

 drool

That is a work of art. Lets hear a little more about it.

Thanks for the nice words! Yes, I think this is the only open cockpit SV43 so far. My opinion is that a poker run boat need to be open...Closed canopy is more racing if you ask me... Would have been nice to have a removable canopy for testing and speed records though. We asked OL if they could make a completely removable "bolt on" canopy but they told us it would not be strong enough. But this is the only thing they would not do. Very pleased with the level of "customazing" they offer at OL. About speed numbers we are not finished with final tuning of the engines and prop setup. We logged 148MPH at the first sea-trial in Bristol. But we got to high on the RPM's. Boat was going as a train and we are very happy with the performance and the handling. We have not been able to test further after the boat was shipped to Norway and we changed from 1:1,21 to 1:1,15 on the drives and 38" props. As you understand we almost can not wait for the temperature to rise above freezing so we can continue testing:cool-smiley-027:
Engines are "home made" 665cid 1400HP(@6000RPM) with PSI blowers. 1330 ft/lb (@4000RPM). ) 91 octane pump gas.
Engines are designed with a service level target= service every 150-200 hours (but only time will show )

That SV43 really is a sick ride, and with those numbers out of the box plus the boat seats five is very impressive, not to mention the computer monitors built in the leather wrapped dash with the 32 gauge layout that flows perfect. Once again VERY IMPRESSIVE good luck and keep the pictures coming.

The boat left OL about 6 weeks ago and made it to home base in Norway 3 weeks later (truck to Baltiomore, shipped to Stavanger via Amsterdam)

The design and build is a cooperation between Stig Bakke (Motorteknikk AS, http://www.boostperformance.no/) in Norway and Mike Faucher ( http://www.questracing.net) in US.

NO MERCY 12-17-2008 06:43 PM

Ive gotta tell you, This has got to be one of the baddest boats ever built. I love it !

Im assuming the recall on the speedo is in Kilometers?

FigmentTech 12-17-2008 07:45 PM

You need a screen shot of the computer monitors with the windows start up logo so everyone can see that you have a on board computer. Bad ass boat when you can play solitare going well over 100MPH! Once again congrats on the boat
