The Birth of a Race Boat
The next 30 days will be filled with long hours and an extreme amount of dedication from some hardworking men, but the end result will be worth it. Outerlimits is going to update the progress of the Birth of a Race Boat. The deck went into the mold a few days ago, so literally this boat will go from a 55 gallon drum (or two) to the Key West Pits in roughly 30 days. We would like to thank Joe Sgro for the opportunity to build this boat for him.

As you can tell, a very busy week so far. The deck is ready to accept the cockpit liner, and the hull is taking shape. Now it's time to bring on the Carbon Fiber.

Sweet, awesome to see the boat taking shape.
In this pic, it looks like the rollers below the roll of CF have resin sitting in them. Is that used to pre-wet the cloth before it goes into the hull? Is that typical for CF construction and is it used for regular composite lay-up as well (i.e. 1708 and vinylester)?
