37 stileto Outerlimits ??'s I'll post this here as well as in General disc.

Looking at the 37 single steps and was hoping for some solid feedback.

Were there any issues with the earlier boats (95,96,97) that came to light?
I see them in all configurations -- side by side, staggered, triples, along with either bravos, 5, or 6's.
Are there any pros or cons to either of these set ups, I realize that staggered and sixes is probably the best, but I don't see any for sale right now.
There is a side by side w 6's and a triple bravo boat though in the classifieds, is there anything that I should now about either boat before I go to look at them??

stay away from the quadstep 37's from what I hear. The 37' single step is a solid boat!!!! A friend has one with a pair of 800's and it runs low 100's with Bravos, very stable..

They are one of my favorite models....just wish they still made it.

I know this is an old post, but why stay away from the quad stepped 37's?

Over 95mph they get squirrely. I've heard it from a few different sources.

Any quad step owners on here that can comment on their experience? Thanks!

I owned a 37 Quadstep with twin 1000's and #6's , the boat is stable to 110, after that...

I'm guessing that the 39 and 42 quadstep is a different design than the 37?

37 quad step with Keith Eckert 650 blown to 850hp a piece and merc 6's would do 103 when following 3ft swells. Solid 85 heading into 3-4 footers with a few seconds on the trim up. Flat calm I'd see 94ish and no squirllyness or chining. Quad step was great for the typical rollers that would normally catch your ass end and slam the bow down when you're trimmed up. My uncle has a single step 37 with ilmor 725's whipped to 950 a piece that'll do 112 and can walk by me when it's calm but looses it when the southwest wind kicks up the 2-3 footers.
