I'm spinning 5 blade 29 Hydros at 5500, seeing 86-88, and yes, very weight sensitive, I think boxes are the way to go on these Stilettos.

I am running 1.26 gears 34p prop and the best (before my engines went down)I saw was 97 mph on flat water at 5050 rpms. This gives me 25% prop slip. If I could get to 13 pct like you guys both are at I would be at 112. Maybe im just too fat! lol

gps reads 92 from a pass i made a week ago, not bad from an old dog.

na 580-600hp never dynoed, 540 w/ a little baby cam, low compression, small carb.
