The boat runs consitant 120 with 857 HP on 540 CI, whipple 4.0 OL motors. The boat has been faster, (Probably right around 900 hp) but the way it is set up 120 -122 is the number at 850hp. These bottoms are fast. The 700 / nxt boat ran 114 in the bay, and runs 112 on fresh water.
The 44 runs like no ther boat I have ever ran, and I have run every model OL and several other brands. It shares the bottom of the SV 43, and a ton of info has been gained from racing in P1.
That being said 120 is plenty fast for a 44' full cabin w/ A/C & Monster stereo system with 850's.
Zack's boat is listed at fastboats because he is always thinking about something else. (3rd OL since 2006) He has a center console in Florida and is thinking about what to do next, but he is enjoying the boat, and will be running it this year in Key West.

Fred, Ill believe it when I see it run with some STOCK MERC 850's.. but then will I really know they are stock... secondly, As of today Im well aware of the motors that are in there, the power they make, now, and whats going on with the boat. I have a friend looking at this boat as well as 2 other OL, 1 Hustler and 1 NT. The tank issue has also come up. Jeff
The 44 does not have a bladder, or an aluminum tank either. I don't know what you think the boat makes for power, but I know what the dyno said. I don't understand why you would doubt the boat could run 120 with 850's. The carbon 42 went 115 with 850's back in 2005, the 46 ran 117 with 850 mercs in 2006.

I just spoke to Zack and was finally given the greenlight to explain why the boat is for sale. He is in the process of spec'n his new SL 52.
He also added that if anybody has any questions regarding the boat, feel free to call him. You can PM me for his number.
