I dont think I've run across (or been past by) that blue 44... hoping to see it on the water in 2011.

What do these 44SL's weigh wet with twins? Nice numbers given the power...

My car dealer buddies ("Henry Motors" - red SL) is full dress, gen, ac the works. Not sure on weight, but it ran 116 GPS the other day when we were out running around. It's also got whipple upgrades done to the 700's.

animalhouse 11-29-2010 11:55 AM

The 44 SL weighs in at 10,400 lbs with Generator, A/C and twins.

Jeff's going to try and get the boat picked up tomorrow, if all goes well will you be around this weekend for a ride?

Is the the 44SL only available with the center entrance cockpit? I really liked the 46 & 39' with the side by side bolsters

Yes as of now. You are one of the rare ones that like the side by side bolsters. We have been getting a lot of positive response on the center entry and split bolsters.

Not this weekend, got stuff going on back home. May not be down til Memorial Weekend, but I really hope sooner than that. Sounds like the weather will be great.

I love the side by side bolsters in my 42. The guys that do not like them are just homophobic.

It could rain some this weekend, never know. Jeff's going to leave the boat at the lake after this weekend. Have to come find you some morning and go for a spin. :drink:

SLOWRIDE-388 03-20-2011 09:32 PM

That boat is a very nice piece. Sounded like today was even better as far as the weather. Wish we were down there.

OL40SVX 03-21-2011 06:49 PM

You suck Jeff!!:D Boat looks great as usual. Glad to see your using it already!

I see the Blue, black, silver 44SL is for sale. I am interested in that boat. How many hours on it now and how many hours will those 1375's go before needing rebuild? With care of course. (on avg.)
And finally how much is the boat?

animalhouse 03-26-2011 10:39 PM

Call me at 401-527-2626 for the details. It will run 145 as it sits and will go faster with a gear change. The motors have 80 hrs. Mostly at 4000 and below. The boat runs 105 at 3800.

If you want to see a 44SL in person let me know, I can get you over to check Jeff's out.

ptlaporte 03-27-2011 11:20 AM

Thank You, I will take you up on that.

No problem I'll PM you my number, if you want to talk to Jeff about his dealings with Outerlimits on this boat I'm sure he won't mind me sending you his either. I'm around every weekend, just let me know when you have time to come over and take a look.

ptlaporte 03-30-2011 07:28 PM

I may be going down this weekend. I will call you if I do. And Thank You, Again!!

Boat show at Dog Days this weekend, I'll be around and the 44SL is close to the show. Give me a call if you want to check it out.

Was that for real.

3800 rpms, = 105mph??

that’s awesome. and I know I should not be in this thread, but dream boat here and was doing some reading. SO humor a question?

what’s this boat plan out at? (like the slowest you can keep it up on top of the water?) where is the cruse speed? I mean I would think anything under 2500 is BOGGING it down and that’s got to still be moving?

you guys just idle or run 90+??

It doesn't BOG down much, it's pretty happy at what ever RPM you run it at. I like the 80 mph range when I'm driving. The 700 boat isn't running that fast at 3,800. I'm not sure what it runs at 2,500 to be honest. I'll have to watch more. Seems like when Jeff is driving we are more in the 90's :evilb:

mittens 04-19-2011 04:30 PM

Confusion., some places you cant run 80mph haha (or you should not). So, can you keep it on plane at say 30-40mph? and if so what rpm would that be? just wondering.

simply amazing boats. in and out.

Thank you very much. Jeff's 44 is one of my favorites to date and the boat can stay on plane easily at 30mph.
