You offered alot in your opening bid......I would started at less than 200K, boat is a project and not a lot of buyers can pull the trigger on a 50 ft cat especially with no power.

I looked at a boat that was stripped, by the time I bought the parts, used my own labor I was over the cost of a new one from the dealer.
He can always offer less then his first quote on a counter, counter offer.

I talked to Sweers on the boat, keep in mind GD is not on a tilt trailer. It has a 12' beam. I would not want to pull a 50' footer with a 12' beam without a tilt. Add another $100K for a trailer.

It can be rather difficult to sell a boat with no power or drives unless the buyer is paying cash and has his own power and drives. Banks do not like loaning money on boats w/o power let alone no power or drives.

Looked at this....the price is deceiving, there's 400k, if not a bit more.. in a rigging for that setup to get it right...not to mention, to be honest, I've never heard a straight story on GD ever...several owners, apparently it never ran well......needs turbines and BPMs, Or ASD...good luck on it, I tend to agree, I would've offered 175..with the history on this boat, they'll never move it, not in this economy..much like a few of the first 50 nortech cats where they had problems with the xdims...
GL either way..
GL either way..
