I watched it run friday and sunday.Looked like they started close to last,as I timed the laps, they were really making up time.Broke somewhere out in the open water.Someone said a seat came lose and had to shut it down,to bad. Sunday looked like they started near the back again, and really poored it on.By the 2nd or 3rd lap they had made up a ton of distance, and appeared to be running even better than friday. What happened? Whetever happened, that Outerlimits was by far the baddest boat to watch.Good job Mike and crew.

Thank you. Unfortunately we had a dry sump oil pump fail, so the computer put the engine in safe mode when the oil pressure fell off. But in the first lap alone the SV 43 passed the Super Vee Extreme boats in turn 1 and had amassed a 42 second differential on the field. It was too bad that the pump failed because it was hooked up.

Although it wasn't win, it wasn't a total loss, we were able to show the crowd that Outerlimits will be a force to recon with in 2011.

THe way they were running. I can gaurantee they didn't stop for a broken seat. Those guys were haulin the mail. Very impressive to see. That would be funny to see an inside look in the cockpit if a seat came loose. I'd gather to say most racers would not stop< just improvise.
