43 with 1350's?
I just noticed the "Cigarette, superior to everything on the sea" thread (clearly misguided individuals! :lolhit:) and it got me thinking... Have any 43 or even 44 OL's been built yet with the new TT Merc power? Wow that would have to be an insane combo!

Scot, we havnt built a boat with the new Mercs yet. One may be in the works. A sv43 with 1350s would run 160. A sl52 loaded with options should run 135-140. You can bet they'd be faster than any other comparable vee bottom.

My buddy has a 44SL would love to have one with 1,100 or 1,350 Mercs. He has a 700 boat we turned up and it runs well. Another year or so and I would think he will be ready.
|
It would be something to see for sure.
|
That boat would prolly cost 1 million + only Scot could afford something like that!:lolhit:

An SL or SV 52 with trip 1350 would be something different. Should be able to run with the cats at the LOTO shootout.

BTW, quit being a troll! http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...iley_troll.gif :party-smiley-004: |
the 1700 sterlings, blow out props at 140, they make allot of torque, you need serious 2 speed trannies with that.
I'd like to see a twin 1350, 3x is just stupid, you don't need that much power, plenty of twin setups will get you there. Just wait until they crack the prom on the 1350...they'll have em boosted up to 1500+.... |

That would be insane!!! It amazes me the speeds these 43's are running... they're just about as fast as the cats if the numbers are real! Hopefully someone will place an order, that boat would be epic! :coolcowboy:

Oh absolutely, buy a boat that has nothing in it that's 25mph slower per power/ratio.....from a company that hasn't produced a boat in YEARS...sounds GREAT...comanche...don't invade here with your pro 80s bull$hit...

You know what's interesting....Don Aronow designed the 41 Apache. So it seems a little incredulous that you would attempt to mock his finest design yet promote a Don Aronow Tribute Edition from OL. A powerboat that Don Aronow would laugh at. Never mind endorse. Go with the Liberace Theme...it suits you! |
actually it seems a little strange considering Aranow pushed the envelope...that the evolution of the sport moving at the speeds they are and the vast improvements of the technology, that YOU...would attack OL...
