I spent a lot of time in that 42, it has some issues, that I cant blame OL for. The previous owner(s)put it through hell, and patched it back up. The wiring under the dash was such a mess it started to short out, and the hatch randomly closed on one of our mehanics :D The trim pumps are dry wall screwed into the bulkheads, and were all found laying on the floor, little things like that. I know for a fact it didnt leave OL like that, so I have nothing bad to say about OL. One drive was filled with water and let go as well. PM for Bretts number if you want

That's what happens when boats go to South Florida! Sorry to hear he's had all those issues. I've known Brett for a few years. Great guy and loves to run the Sutphen!

Haha, its ok Dan. Cigarettes may not be "the best" in your mind, but they are good boats. They are definately not the fastest, but they can be complimented when its deserved. :drink:

Give me the brand of any high end boat with big power that doesn't depreciate big time when purchased new. You stick with boats that are several years old with mild or Mercury power that have already depreciated 40 to 50% before you buy it. When you are buying boats in your price range if they drop another 20% in value over a year it is no big deal. Go buy a brand new Cigarette and sell it 2 years later and let us know how things turn out.

You bought a Cigarette. It is a nice boat so go enjoy it. More than likely it will be in the classifieds for sale within a couple of months.
