Non bias opinion, I want a Cig and will own a Cig. Have a buddy with an OL and yes... he wants a Cig. Nuff said :)

pm203 10-13-2011 06:48 PM

Now, let's not do any bashing on the brand here. Dan is probably busy tending to the ovens right now. I heard he has 2 pies, a cake and one boat almost done.:D

SLOWRIDE-388 10-13-2011 07:13 PM

Glad to have you back Jeff. Enjoy the new ride.

Just keep telling yourself that Jeff and you'll believe it like everyone else. Sorry we didn't have anything available for you in your price range. Good luck with the new ride.

Knowing you, you'll sell this one next year, buy something else, sell it, then finally by an Outerlimits!:D

Enough 4 Play 10-14-2011 03:08 PM

Out of curiosity why do you trade/sell in and out of your boats so frequently.

thunderusone 10-14-2011 05:16 PM

Cigs are great boats if you just want the look but not the speed.

SS930 10-14-2011 05:26 PM

How did I miss this gem of a thread?!?!?!?!?!

Saw Dans (Kens) boat this weekend. Although I am a Cigarette fan at heart, I must say the boat is very sleek looking. It is more of a sit down "race only" type of set up rather than the classic stand up and walk around cockpit. Im seeing more and more of the sit down offshore boat now-a-days. This may be a good thread to start, sit down VS the stand up. Which do you perfer and why? Nice boat Dan, when you guys trading it for the 46 Cig? Hahahaha! :lolhit:

Good seeing you this weekend Kevin. To answer your question........never in a million years and sit down all the way!!:D

innerrage 10-17-2011 10:36 AM

that boat reminds me of a james bond movie and sit down much better.

Trade it on a 46ft boat named after a condom...sounds GREAT!

Not to mention, the Cig rides extremely rough...

I'd absolutely do that.... ;)

Pics look great Ken!

I caught a good one of Dan later that day!

Hahahaha! Looks great Ken, we saw you guys on the river yesterday. Quite a few boats out there! I was trying to pursuade Danny in to this little guy, I think he would like it!

I've run that boat. It nice but no Outerlimits! You honestly can't compare the two. Period.

kreed 10-18-2011 09:34 AM

You ran that boat? How did that come about? Thats a 100+ MPH boat no? It is very flashy as opposed to your clean, simple OL. Just a totally different type of boat I guess......

Finished the Miami boat show poker run on it after helping change a blower belt/after the original boat I was on blew up. It runs around 115 I believe with 1075 (Cigarettes best bottom). We just cruised down at 90-100. It's not the flashyness but the hull designs, styling and lamination schedule that separates the Outerlimits. 90% of Outerlimits are just as flashy. Mines just an odd ball!:D:D Kevin you have to remember I've been on alot of Cigarettes and know how every single manufature's boats run. There's a reason why we own an Outerlimits..

SS930 10-18-2011 10:13 AM

115? I thought those ran <110 with the stock 1075, no? Not that I ever looked into them, but that's around what I thought they ran anyway...

OL40SVX 10-18-2011 10:35 AM

A 46 Cig with 1075's does run around 115(setup right), its their most efficient bottom, compared to a 46 Outerlimits with 1075 will run 125mph.

SS930 10-18-2011 10:41 AM

Faster than I recall... Although I would still think 106 to 110 is probably closer to an every day real world number. Nice boats either way!

Real world every day 110 is the number. Amazing how much faster the Outerlimits is!!:D
