Great pic Jay! The E85 motors are being fine tuned so in the meantime Merc 1200's were installed. The boat is approx 47ft being cut down from 48ft.

Here's some shots of Golddigger. It ran perfect all week long with the Outerlimits 1375's. Looking good!

Bostonirish 11-17-2011 06:22 PM

Where is goldiggers home port now? i was looking at that beast last winter when it was at National liquidators. Pictures dont do that baot justice. Impressive to say the least

OL40SVX 11-17-2011 06:27 PM

Bostonirish 11-17-2011 06:52 PM

SS930 11-17-2011 08:12 PM

I know what it is, once she's in your life..

"She take my money, well I'm in need. Yeah she's a triflin' friend indeed. Oh she's a gold digger way over time. That digs on me....."

that 39 is powered right with 700s should deff have nxt and with that boat its running merc maxs probs should be running a 6 blade herring with those drives wasnt this boat in a accident if i remember correctly

Mirage30 11-21-2011 07:48 AM

It runs with Imco extrem Outdrives(Bravo Style)5 Blade Herings
4500RPM same Speed like 5000RPM, thats bad.

when i called shrogren they said it ran high 98 100 that boat should easily hit 107+ with a 6 blade youl get a easy 5 to 6 mph gain the imco should be able to hold up with the 6 blades

Something is not set up correctly then. 5 Blade herings are fine. It should run low 100's fairly easy with tab in it. Do you know who put the motors and drives back in that boat?

5 blades are good for a 600 boat we bought new props for ours and were still playing around with them too get us in the 100 mph but the 5 blades just dont turn enough water the boat with 700s needs bigger prop

It will not make a 5-6mph difference.

Tom A. 11-21-2011 11:06 AM

Mine is not an OL but I have staggered 700hp with Bravo style SCX drives and I have no trouble running 110+ with 5 blade props.

That is not true...the difference from a 5-6 is not that huge...mid range maybe, not top end...

Dan is right, you're not seeing a 5-6mph difference on top end from a 5 to a 6...maybe midrange, but not top end...he should have no issue with the 5 blades....the stern lift from the 6...there's other factors at play here, not props...unless the pitch is totally off, if he's saying the same speed at 4500-5000...something's not right...

Mirage30 11-21-2011 12:50 PM

...something is not right.... thats what we know.Boat has 36 Herings on it.We never run 98!!! The best was 95. And believe it we are not beginners.

Time to go back to prop school J, you're way off base...

ive talked to 4 people with 39s with 600s all said the same you will hit high 90s with the 5 blade very few will run over a 100 but with the 6 blade should run 101-102 and with the whipple upgrade 105 weve been playing with our props down side to the 6 blade is it harder on the drive.

it was mid range sorry i should have put that but with top end they should run 101-103 with 600s from what ive been told from other 39 owners with 600s

whataride 11-21-2011 07:46 PM

What year is your 32 advantage ? My 39 with 525s runs 91 with 5 blades

Shallow Minded 11-21-2011 09:55 PM

Since we're talking 39's, I've heard they're a real handful to drive... tend to bow steer. Any truth to that? I've never been on one and was curious what others have experienced.

No bow steer. They're a nice running boat that needs some negative tab at higher speeds. With none they'll walk on you a little bit. Here's the GPS shot of What a Rides boat after delivery.

whataride 11-22-2011 08:25 PM

mines for sale 98 mph !

Set Up On Boat

The boat was set up by CP Performance in MI. Frank was the owner of the boat and can answer any questions you have. I will send you his number.

want to sell the herrings ? what pitch / size etc ?

TeamShogren.com 11-24-2011 09:10 PM

Spacer

If memory serves me correct, I believe owner of boat put spacers in drive to avoid lower problems. If that is the case, I am sure if you take out or change spacers, you will pick up more speed. The guys at CP that did all the rigging are also very helpful if you want to ask them any questions. I know they did alot of testing and prop testing.

Scott Shogren
