Water Tight Hatches
1 Attachment(s)
Has anybody had problems with how the cockpit and cabin hatches leak. The hatches have rubber seals but it does no good keeping the water out. I'm talking major leaks like 1/4" day light clearance. I'm surprised such an obvious thing was missed in the construction considering the quality of the rest of the boat is superior.
Any suggestions on where to buy rubber seals? |
Is this the same boat that Lake Cumberland has listed for sale.

I'm on my phone and can't tell by the pics, is this the brown 43 from Canada?
Btw, congrats on the new boat, I LOVE those 43's! |
This boat is black, white and red not from Canada. Was from South Carolina, now kept in Sarasota.

Very cool boat. Congrats

Ya i have the same boat with the same problem. Real problem when you wash boat. I shaved gasket on tight areas and got a thicker gasket on big gap areas. Also adjust latches. If i have time this winter i am going to make up 3point lock pins that will pull hatch down in all areas. I think the guy from the my way boat had them made up as well. Good luck any other question you can call me.

Very sharp, congrats on the new ride! Since they all seem to have this issue, it sounds like they need some attention in the molds. |
It is very very hard to have canopy hatches water tight.
