Saw it at the unveiling this morning. It's bad a$$. I looked it over pretty close and the workmanship is precise. Mike and the crew did an outstanding job. I spoke to Mike for a few minutes, he is a gentleman and really knows his stuff. I have a bunch of pics I could email you.

That thing is just stunning!

I wonder if there are plans to build one with twins? Would be a complete beast!

Yup, or with 650 V10s, they weigh the same. And ASD #7M to keep the weight down, but run strong surface drives. That would be some hotrod.

That dash is so nice in its layout. KUDOS to OL on this thing.

WHERE IS THE PICS OF THE BILGE???

SLOWRIDE-388 02-24-2012 12:52 PM

Looks even better on the water. Very nice job OL. This one should be a home run for the single engine boaters.

I'd think twin aluminum blocked LS based engines would be the hot ticket for this (rather than the iron block Ilmores).

I dont know that there's enough room for twin SBC in there as laid out, I highly doubt there's room to fit two v-10's.

The more I look at this boat the more I like it!

Well, if the width and height is there for twin small blocks, it should work. I'm pretty sure the width and height of the V10 is more or less the same as an SBC. Lenght wise, it should fit w/o problems. But yes, some 454 alu SBCs pushing 600-700hp and light surface drives, that would be sweet. Not sure they would do it though:party-smiley-004:

OL40SVX 02-24-2012 06:02 PM

The boat was only designed for a single motor. That doesnt mean to say in the future a twin version couldnt be an option. For now sinlge it is. Thank you for all the comments. Its alot of hard work that paid off from everyone at Outerlimits. Look for one this summer at an event near you.

truly a MASTERPIECE , dan when we going for a ride in the sound.

n20michael 02-25-2012 01:28 AM

Hope to see one at the 1000 Islands run this year! Congrats on the boat, it's a masterpiece.

Dan

Would you be able to get some cabin shots uploaded? Would love to see it inside and the bilge too.

Thanks

Anders

Here's a quick clip from the boat this morning. We tested the same set up as the 96.7 and it ran 96.9 today. Had to keep it trimmed in off the limiter because its still hard on it. More props and testing to be done later this week. There's still more left. I will post up some cabin shots soon Anders.

Probably pretty close to 110. :bunnydance:

Boxer 03-01-2012 09:12 AM

Went for a ride yesterday in the 29. Very impressive! The boat was still accelerating when it reached the limiter. With the stock engine/limiter,when they dial in the proper drive ratio/prop combination, 100 MPH will be easily attained.

If you do the math, around 113-115.:coolcowboy:

Imagine that, a boat of that size with a usable cabin, running 110+ @ 50 gal pr. hour. Sweet.

Berk 03-04-2012 07:50 AM

it would be fun to mock cig's with 700SCI's :))) in our country no such boat is ever seen :)))

Hi.

Great boat and lines. And the colour is spot on. I wonder how fast it will be with the new Merc 565 engine. I presume it can be delivered with foot trottle. Does this boat will be CE approved for European import?

Cheers, Toffen

The Merc 565, 600 and 662 are all CE certified. But why on earth do that? The Ilmor MV8-570 MV10-650 and MV10-725 are CE certified as well and are way cooler engines:coolcowboy:

Is spring starting to come your way up there in the north?
