Plowtownmissile 06-04-2012 07:46 PM

Brett at Performance Boat Center has a very nice one for sale that is a strong runner. Pictures don't do the paint job on it justice.

TCBoss302 06-04-2012 08:09 PM

If you're looking for a turn-key Stiletto, PM Richaton, it's been totally redone and has a dependable power package.

Now, on the other hand, if you want a project, I can help you with that!!!:lolhit:

drpete3 06-05-2012 07:50 AM

I know of one thats for sale and its in nice shape. Ill PM you

SS930 06-05-2012 09:46 AM

What's he looking for, a bravo boat or a ssm6 boat? If he's looking for a mild power bravo boat, Rich's is super clean! Ted's is a 6 boat with big power, also super clean. Neither are being given away though, but they are both super clean examples.

If there was something else I really wanted I would consider selling mine, but the reality is it's hard to find a better all around package for the $. Then again, I guess everything is FS for the right money, and I'm not that far from you... Plus I would sell mine for under $170k! :drink:

notda1 06-05-2012 05:17 PM

Ted's is very clean and fresh everything , big power #6 boat

OL40SVX 06-05-2012 09:01 PM

Is your father Bob Bowman who raced with Mike and Harry? I dont have any 37's currently for sale but we will give him a smoking deal on the 42 Liquidator we have!! Well under 170K. Call 401-253-7300 or 860-729-7304.

Dan

Stiletto89 06-06-2012 01:11 PM

No Bob isn't my Father. He has a nice 97 Stiletto that I'd love to take but he still races it sometimes. He has the one with the knife on the side. And really don't care about bravos or 6's just as long the engines are dependable. Don't want to have to work on them all the time. Boat will be used every nice weekend.

Come look at it and make me a realistic offer based on what it is. If its not as clean as listed I will pay for your plane tickets. This is truly a really clean boat and runs flawlessly, No BS!! Ran the boat one time this season.

beautiful boat! how many quad step 37's did they make??

JoeD 06-19-2012 01:06 PM

I believe there are 3- 37' quad steps----I own one in NJ and there was one that had hull damage that was repaired and Links boat.

36Envision 06-21-2012 09:15 AM

If you are serious about a 37, I'd take the time to visit PBC at Lake of the Ozarks. The boat they have is super nice, good power package.

Put over 100K in mine since I bought it. Boat needs nothing and it shows.
You may find one for 100K but you may also need to put that in it!!

richanton 06-22-2012 04:39 PM

I agree with you. I pulled mine off the market because I got cold feet, but I did have a few tire kickers (who never actually came to the see the boat by the way) who said things like "I can buy such and such boat for $90k". Oh yeah, then you should go buy it. What they didn't realize is someone could have GIVEN them that other boat and they couldn't make it look anywhere near as nice as mine for my asking price. Never mind the time and aggravation involved.

Links, you've got a beautiful boat there, someone will come snatch it up and get themselves a great deal.

Can't even buy the drive lines for what I'm asking. I agree with you, someone will buy it and get a lot of value for their money. The boat does everything its suppose to, just doesn't do it for me anymore. Been running over a hundred since the mid 80's, its time!!

Boat looks incredible, but unfortunately you have too much emotional attachment (not a bad thing) skewing your view of its real value. Just my opinion. market determines worth, not the owner. Just look at the liquidator. Original asking was 189k and now 129k. And it still hasn't sold, yet has 6's and reasonable power. The list goes on and on...

Bullcrap! You get what you pay for. If you are looking for an awesome big power #6 turn key boat, Links boat is worth every penny and then some. You just don't know the value of what you are looking at. I have a big power #6 boat and I paid good money for it, I spent even more on upgrades and it is a turn key 125mph+ V bottom. If you are looking for something that is a dependable FAST #6 Beast, you are going to have to pay for it. I have re- rigged a boat with brand new big power and drives from the ground up. The costs are astronomical plus the time and aggravation. All of the people that think you can build a really nice boat cheaper than what some of the nicer #6 boats can be bought for are showing thier own ignorance as to what it costs to build, operate and maintain one of these boats. EVERY one that I know that has tried has ended up with a semi completed boat that does not perform like it should and you never hear anything else from them. They move on trying to pawn thier project off on someone else and they never actually enjoy running it.

Is there a link to "links" boat, I would love to check it out, sounds incredible, but, I have to be honest, for the asking price Richanton's boat is probably the nicest I have seen in years, and WELL worth what the asking price was, like most people in this economy "If I had the money".................

Like I said, liquidator is for sale at 129k. Betchya 100-110k takes it home. I have seen it up close. Well maintained and nice boat with decent power (900 sc) and #6's. Can't argue with the facts. Sorry. The days of buying boats with 6's and big power for in or around 100k is here. Like it or not. Are there tons of them? No. But look around for a while and you will find deals. I know several people who did and scored great boats at this price point.

Not to mention the 99 with trip 1100 cobras with 6's for 147k (not apples to apples comparison but you get the idea) or the other stilleto with 850's for 114k.

To clearify, the Liquidator boat is in nowhere near the condition Ted's and Rich's boat are in, although the interior is fairly nice. I'm not going to publicly trash this boat, but there are some reasons why it never sold at the higher asking price. Also, FYI that boat does not have 900 SC's in it. It might be a good value for someone knowing it probably needs some money thrown at it, but it would take a lot to get it looking anything like the other two boats in question and it would take a hell of a lot to get it to run with Ted's boat! With that said, it's still a 42 at a decent price.

Also, please show me where the #6 boats (especially OL's) with big power and in reasonably nice condition are for $100k, especailly the one's that don't need a decent amount of money thrown into them... A fire sale might pop up every so often, but $100k is far from the norm!!!

there is a 37 with 850's for 114k. I am unaware of the condition but at that price you can spend 20-30k and still ahead of the game (price wise compared to the others posted).

i always get a kick out of owners who post there boats for sale, they dont sell and wonder why...either there is no market for it not wanted (due to age, length, look, hardware, etc) or its over priced. pick one. if a boat is marketable and priced to sell, it will. **its a buyers market, no one wants to realize it**

its hard to provide examples of 100k #6 boats as they are a rarity and pop up every now and again. i have seen a few every now and again that appear to be in descent shape. just my 0.02.
